First meeting

"What? Me? I- I dont help much, I just speak my mind...." Mostly...

"then you are one of the wisest girls i have had the fortune of knowing..." i said quietly, smirking slightly as i sighed, turning back to the TV and taking it out, beginning to look at the wireing and grumbled "of fucking course... the dumbass electritian they hired did a shitty job rewireing it..." i said, pulling a utility tool out of a small insert in my shoe and began working

"Wait, they rewired the tv wrong?"

"yeah, they took out the wifi addapter so i can set up a wifi network router..." i sighed, stripping one of the wire

"...Tv's have wifi now? Really?"

"newest model, only released in japan right now..." i said simply, waving it off as i put the tv back togeather and smiled as it worked "but unfortuanatly, i am a jack of all trades..." i said with a grin, and looked down at her notes "how those comin?"

"Its coming along. Why would a tv need wifi? And why couldnt they get a normal tv, theyre cheaper, arent they?"

"needed the extra parts to speed up my laptops processing power..." i said as i took and held up a large bundle of seemingly random bits and ends of wire and electronics as i took my seat on the floor next to her legs and began tinkering with the stuff

"...That stuff wont randomly sputter sparks, right?" I asked, remembering when my dad was trying to fix a remote control car I had, and somehow that thing went down in dramatic flames after an epic display of sparks which outdid 4th of July sparklers.

".... this thing wont, but not so sure about that TV... i only have substandard parts for it, and no sodder so its the best i can do..." i said after a moment of focusing on the job at hand

"...Im not getting near that thing then. I always end up getting burned by malfuntioning technology, somehow..."

"join the club..." i said, showing the back of my hand to her where a bunch of scars where "happens to me alot too... but i had to man up else i would have been caught in alot of bad places at the wrong time..." i said with a slight smirk to my grin

"...I feel like asking, but it scares me to. But i'll ask anyways: what happened at the wrong times?"

"long story short, i did a job without doing the research on someone, and got into some nasty trouble with the law... thats how i got into the feild, the cyber crime devision of a certain company got me, lie tested me, and seeing i really was unaware of what i did, hired into the civilian part time gig... im more of a consultant really...." i yawned slightly, still adjusting to being awake

"Wow. Thats pretty neat. And at least you didn't go to jail."

"they tried, but i like to have backup..." i said simply "see, i did my research, but they were VERY good at their cover story..." i said simply, illiciting a laugh from one of the gaurds over the intercom, and i sighed

I flinched when I heard the laughter, looking up wearily towards the sound. I had forgotten about them. "I think im going to take a job where I dont do anynomous requests when we're done here," I said, going back to what I had originally had been doing.

"ill pull a few strings when we get out, get you a nice desk job along with me, and we can work togeather..." i said simply, putting my hand on her thigh for a moment, then went back to my little project

"Thanks, I-" I paused momentarily when he put his hand on my thigh a few seconds, but quickly finished the sentence, "-would really appreciate that. Wouldn't ever want to risk a situation like this ever repeating itself."

"...." i nodded, finding it a bad thing to say that if they really had wanted our skills, they would have just kidnapped us "dont mention it..." i said, and grinned "there we go, now just to hook it up through a USB, and it should help data processing when we start the program..." i said with a happy sigh

"Yay..." I cheered softly. "Then this will all be done..."

"you done?" i asked, glancing at her notes

"Almost..." I made some final notes before handing over my work.

"muchos gracias..." i said, and quickly darted over to what had become my little tech courner, bits and peices of electronics scattered around me as i began to hook everything up and began scanning in pages as well as typing in data and specific code so it would work its magic "god, seems like highschool all over again, you know, minus the big elaborate kidnapping..." i said with a childing grin, happy to be doing something that fully tested my skills

"More like the spanish final, we had to translate paragraphs in the alloted time..."
