First meeting

"so... what do you wanna do now?"

"I guess just...relax."

"alright..." i said, turning to face the TV, getting engrossed in the documentary about space that was on

I think ive already seen this one. Oh well, tv is tv. I looked over at him, noticing how focused he was on the programming. I looked back at the tv, with slightly less interest, not that I cared much.

"you know, if it bores you, you can change it..." i said simply, not looking over at her

"Im not bored, I just dont care. Tv is tv. I'll sit through anything that isnt horror."

"your telling me you dont enjoy some TV shows more than others?" i asked curiously

I thought for a moment. "I do, but I'll sit through anything, nonetheless. I only watched cheap cable, that habit grew on me from not having over 50 channels."

"eh, you should have at least had BBC back then at least..." i said, going to the guide onscreen to see what was on other channels

"BBC comes out after 4 or so, and I spent most of my life ignoring that segment on PBS because of homework or my other job."

"i see... well, what else did you do as a kid?"

"Mostly drawing or writing, or jigsaw puzzles or other stuff. I was a pretty simple kid who got satisfaction from doing menial things," I shrugged. "I guess im pretty boring, arent I?"

"i still read the dictionary when im bored..." i smiled lightly, looking over at her,

"I...cant top that. Unless you count playing btd5 the whole day as boring or unusual."

"whats btd5 stand for?" i asked curiously, my smile turning to a curious look

"Bloons tower defense 5. You have ballons traveling on a path from point a to point b, and you set up towers to destroy the balloons before they make it to point b. Ive completed almost every track, and my goal is to earn all the acomplishments. Which shows my very dull life when im bored," I sighed, lying back on the couch. "And the only times I went out was when I was dating. A shame you found someone so boring..."

"what you call boring sounds like fun to me... i have the game on my phone, i just never heard the shortened version like that..." i said, and sighed with a grin "besides, its better to have someone you care for than no one at all..."

"Yeah, I guess youre right about that..." I muttered.

"geez, and i thought i was a negative nancy... why wont you smile?" i asked, saddened by the fact she wouldnt speak positivly about herself

"..." Instead of answering, I just did a chesire cat grin, intending to stare until he became uncomfortable.

"a-alright, you win!" i said, holding my hands up in surrender

I started cracking up. "Be careful for what you wish for..."

"y-yeah... but honestly, its nice to see you smile..." i said with a sigh, chuckling a bit

I sighed. "It does ease you up..."

"yeah... well, tell you what, they have some cookie mix hidden in the freezer... if you want, i could go make cookies or we could eat it raw..." i said, drawing out the conversation
