First meeting

"Well, I couldnt bear it, I felt it was better to be accepted than outcast by people. You cant really hide forever..."

"i dont hide, i just dont tolerate stupidity or arrogance..." i said with a smile

"Precisely why I dyed my hair," I sighed, taking a bite. "Society is a much harsher place for girls, feel blessed..."

"well, fuck society, thats what ive been doing for my whole life..." i said honestly

"...Yeah, I guess that could work. Just screw society. Thats what molds people into messing with us."

"ill teach you how when we leave... granted, you have to be polite sometimes, but you seem to have that down to bat..." i said, taking a faily large share after she took hers, and grumbled "i really hate this... no matter how much i eat, i always stay the same... really wish i had meat on my bones..."

"Oh, come now, feel blessed, some people cant even walk through the doorway with ease because they have too much meat. But for a girl...well. They require more fat actually. That shapes them. If I had no fat, I'd sport a similar bodyshape to yours," I said, eating a bit more. I blushed a bit before adding, "You look fine, either way..."

"well, i dont like my midsection... to skinny..." i mumbled, looking at her with a red face

"Work out a six pack and chicks will dig you," I teased.

"already have one... i just wish i could make it so it wasnt so damn skinny... i wanna be a little bit buffer, like a linebacker, but a little less than that..." i said, lifting up my shirt to show her "and thats part of the reason i left school and did online... the girls either hated me, or loved me for my additude towards them, because the mysterious boy who doesnt talk to girls thing apparently isnt just in books..." i said, going back to eating, sitting crosslegged on the floor instead of the chair now, and leaned against the wall

I sighed, for some reason annoyed that he didn't appreciate being fit and handsome. "Girls are so wierd, I tell ya. Even I don't get it sometimes," I started picking at my food. "Its kinda stressing, so I get why you wouldn't want to deal with that on a day to day basis."

"meh... maybe its just my Gingerness kicking in..." i said with a light chuckle

"Gingerness?" I asked, not getting what he meant.

"my hair... its slightly Orange... the Americans call this color Ginger... they say we have no souls, but they do it jokingly..." i said with a slightly surprised look on my face

"I knew ginger meant the hair color, but I didn't know about the souless reference..." I said, semi defensively. "Curious, you dont seem souless."

"its a joke... a hurtful one, but a joke all the same... come on, teach me while we are eating..." i said after i ate a bite

"Teach you? Oh, righ-" BANG!!! A sound resembling a large empty steel oil drum bursting outside the room we were locked in caused me to yell and jump. Some of the lights went out as well. "...Sorry to interrupt your heart to heart conversation," the voice crackled on the speaker, "but that was one of the generators. Its now...broken. Things affected are some of the lights, air conditioning, ventilation system, temperature stabilizer...its...going to get hot in there. Very hot. So until we get that fixed, drink lots of water and dont die of heat stroke, we dont want to have to plan the kidnapping of other technicians. That is all."

"welp.... seems like we get a summer vaction home now..." i grumbled, taking off the shirt i had on to reveal a tank top, and yawned, looking to the side

"hmph, " I smiled, amused to how he was responding to the new circumstances. I thought he would lash out again, but that too would seem unreasonable, since that problem was out of their control. It wasnt very long before the temperature rose to uncomfortable levels for me, but unlike him, I wasnt so willing to take off my shirt. It was obvious, though, that I wasnt liking the temperature change.

".... there are tank tops upstairs in the closet if you want me to go get you one... they are black..." i said, grumbling a bit at how irritable she was getting due to the heat "hell, ill stay outta the room, you can stay in the room, and we can be cooler... your going to dehydrate youself to the point where you will Die..."

"I can go get one myself..." I said, standing up and heading to the bedroom. I came back wearing the aforementioned tank top. And proceeded to lie on the cool, tile kitchen floor. "Ahhhh, much better..." I said with a silly smile.

".... yeah..." i said quietly, looking to the side, seeing as she had chosen to lay down next to me, and turned over, distancing myself a little from her with a quiet sigh, getting two icepacks out of the barely working freezer and handed on to her, choosing to go lay down on the couch some distance away with a irritable face, glad it was difficult to see here for the moment so she couldnt see my expression

"Why dont you lie on the floor? The couch will heat up with your body heat," I said, perplexed. "We dont want heat stroke, remember?"

".... so you can stay cooler... we will both suck up body heat when we are on that, and it will only get warmer when we are so close..." i said, attempting to lie

"Thats bull. We're not gonna be sardined on the floor to be able to absorb body heat from each other. Besides, theres plenty of space to roll around onto cooler tiles, unlike that couch; the more you roll around on that thing, the hotter you'll get, and not in a good way, so get on the floor," I said, getting irritated again.
