"Im not sure yet, much is still unsettled. Either that or they wont tell me."

"well, im not leaving either of them till they are ready for me to..." i said quietly

Lynda sighed. "The way they work is confusing, but it'll take time. If you find out theyre separating you lot, well, I guess you'd have no choice but to tough it out on your own out there..."

".... where did you find this out?" i asked curiously

"A good lot of men in black came along, as well as some young overly serious women. The spoke of it quite a bit, but not much was useful, mostly what I said previously."

"they still here?" i asked, my eyes sharpening at the mention of men in black, as i had heard of them being related to a high level of crime prevention when i had escaped the first time "and do you know if they are planning on talking to all of us?"

"Not sure," Lynda shrugged. "They seemed to want to keep themselves out of the picture, but they may change their minds."

"well,imsure they will talk to us, especially you two... they seemed rather interested in us as we all just showed up..." Carson said with a sigh watching a girl flirt with another guy

"Oh dear, then im going to have a lot of trouble explaining my situation..." Lynda sighed as well.

"Well, I suppose for now we dont worry," I said, after a brief silence.

"dont worry, we got you Lynda... you said you were cloned right? well, then just say that you chose to fight back against them as a means of revenge, but failed, and ended up with us after being thrown into storage like us..." i said simply, already quick to give out a cover story for her

"I think its better to keep the fancy bits to ourselves. They...work strangely. So you keep...most of what was done under wraps. Even the staff here kept it under wraps. Kind people. Just mind what you say."

"so act like run of the mill people when no one else here has the skills or abilities we do... i have a super skeleton, and she was genetically built differently than the rest of us... im fairly sure that some how, they will figure it out"

"Well, the less thats said will become less of a problem," She answered bluntly, "If you have doubt on how to answer a question, dont answer it."

"alright, ill just play anmnesia..." i said with a smile and a sigh

"And be weary about what you say. Welp, Im going to eat something," and she walked away. I thought about it for a moment, before saying, "This makes me nervous..."

"why?" i asked, looking down at her

"I-I dont know, its just...I dont know how to explain..." I said, staring down at my lap.

"remember that promise i made when we met? that i would be there for you and protect you? its till stands..."

"That helps me feel better, but...the unease still attacks a small part of my being..."

"Until you decide you no longer want me by your side, you have me there, through thick and thin, even if i have to rough it out on my own to stay near you... so stop worrying and drink your coffee..." i said with a sigh, wheeling her outside like she originally wanted

I smiled, which suddenly became a more grateful gesture as he wheeled me outside. It felt nice to be outside again; recently being indoors made me uncomfortable, due to memories. "Fine, then, ill stop worrying."

"thank you..." i said, taking my ques from the directions she was looking in order to choose where we went

"We should go outside more often," I suggested.

"if thats what you want, then we will go outside more often... im just wary about this new world..." i said, still tense just in case

"..." I didn't admit I was fine with dying, just because I only managed to sneak a peek at this new environment, but I definately wanted him to get used to this place and hopefully move his mind away from me, so he didn't miss me if I died. Im such a horrible person... I tried to divert my own thoughts to the environment. "Take me somewhere where they have lots of the green stuff with colored tips, the ones that come out of the ground. Theyre pretty, and some even smell nice... Im making sense, right? I shouldve asked Lynda what they were called..."
