Small people

"....." i noticed she cuddled closer, so i smiled and laid my head down again as Sonia crawled into bed behind me, and i relized it was still in the middle of the night and sighed quietly "seems my old habits wont die now...."

"...?" I opened my eyes tiredly, and a bit lost, since I had heard him mutter something but I had missed it. 'Isnt it still kinda late?' I wanted to ask, but my body was too sleepy to react, all I managed was "...eh?"

"nothin, just go back to sleep Risa..." i whispered, pulling her closer again

I nodded, and I quickly fell back to sleep.

".... time to get up girls, its breakfast time...." i said with a smile, gentally shaking them up by shaking the bed, causing Sonia to smile and hug me

I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes, trying to get myself to be more alert. "Goooood morrrninnng..." I slurred, smiling dazedly.

"morning..." i whispered in her ear to try and tease her into waking up

Had I been standing I would have jumped back, caught off guard, but all I did was sort of jolt back. I blushed from embarrassment.

"good, your awake... Sonia doesnt like waiting for food, she gets grumpy..." i chuckled at Sonia's grumpy face

"Ah, im sorry. Lets hurry to get her something to eat then." I smiled meekly.

"...." i nodded and picked Sonia up, taking Risas hand quietly and sighed, wondering how i was going to get them both out safely with our plan

"Its all right." I said out of nowhere, after studying his face for a while, even though I wasnt sure what I was talking about, but it felt right to say. "It'll be all right."

"...." i nodded quietly and squeezed her hand, still in thought as i began handing out meals to people with a tired expression, and i looked over at her with a smile every now and then, making an effort to make sure she knew i was happy

"Everything is going to be alright. Dont let it bother you." I said again.

"its my job... but ill try to let it go for the moment..." i said quietly, glancing down at my food with a sigh of exasperation "geeze, looks like i get dinner in the morning, and breakfast at night now..." i said, pointing at the steak i pulled out

"...Youre not supposed to eat steak for breakfast?" I asked, puzzled. "...So there are things you only eat in the morning and things you only eat at night?"

"well, you CAN, but i prefer the normal food diet i have... i dont eat much... this is going to throw off my balance for a week... i have a set order to things i do and eat, just like when i wake up in the middle of the night to check on everyone... its a mental condition called OCD, makes me have a very strict way of doing things"

"OCD? Do the letters mean anything? Like in ADD?" I asked.

"overly compulsive disorder..." i said with a sigh of content, happy i could talk about it seriously with someone as i looked at her

I thought for a moment. "So even...if you dont want to think about it too much you end up thinking about too much because you cant help it? Then...then that means I dont have OCD, because...I dont... I dont think too much about things...I dont think I do...um...No, because...I cant...I cant...I..." I suddenly realized I was having difficulty expressing myself. 'Because if I try thinking about more complex thoughts and I cant put it into words to communicate it to other people, for some reason, not right now,' but when I tried putting that into words, I kept stammering until I gave in, exasperated, "I...cant... cant talk!" I instinctively covered my head, as if I was expecting someone to hit me.

"its alright... its alright..." i said, instantly pulling her into my arms when she began to panic, and began running my hands through her hair "its alright..."

"why would i hit you, my girlfreind, at least i assume we are a pair, for stuttering? i find it cute... im worried about the crying though... seems your remembering little by little, even if it is just muscle memory...." i said quietly, my face confused, but i hid the hurt that i felt when she thought i would hit her

"...Im sorry. For a few seconds I forgot where I was..." I said, closing my eyes.

"i know the feeling, its like that every morning..." i nodded in understanding, still playing with her hair
