Perfect Human Empty Perfect Human

Post  nellyrae Thu Nov 15, 2012 5:30 pm

The government founded a group of scientists to conduct experiments on various people, some volunteers some not. There was a whole mess of experiments each scientist was to preform; a super soldier, anti-virus, immortality, and many others. In the end, all the experiments died painfully and the government no longer funded them, dubbing their work inhumane and immoral, burning all the medical journals and files. All the scientists except one moved on to other work. Dr. Donato had been working diligently up until the end. His mission was to make the perfect human. Never get sick, never grow old, fast healing wounds with no scars, and no adverse reactions to various procedures. His goal is to better humanity. One day he goes and kidnaps a boy , taking him to his house to conduct experiments on in his basement.

Richard was upstairs in his study making a new file for his latest experiment. Behind him was wall to wall files and medical book, one shelf was dedicated to everything he could recall about his failed experiments. Now that he had a human in his basement he could continue his work that was stopped by the government years ago. He was unable to make his assessment on the variables until the boy awoke and his medical history could given. Richard looked up at the clock on the wall. The medicine should be wearing off any minute. Richard stood from his desk and walked downstairs to the basement, turning on the light as he did so. His shoes echoed against the cement walls.

He wondered where he was and who was approaching.

Richard reached the bottom of the stairs to see the boy awake. "I hope I haven't left you alone for too long." he said, snapping his latex gloves on. "Now let's not waste any time and get down to business shall we?" he asked, coming up to the table the boy was laying on. "Can I have your name and age and your medical history in chronological order?" He shrugged "Though I suppose I can really get all the information I need from the blood tests." He stepped away from the boy and was going through the medical instruments carefully listening to the boy as if he actually expected to tell him what was asked.

Hanabusa looks at the other as he was nervous. He figured with the way the other spoke he must have been a doctor. His idea of a hospital wasn't anything as he thought it would be. The man creeps him out and he didn't know if not answering would be good or bad. If I answer some of his questions I might find out why I'm here. he thinks as he parts his lips to answer. "My name is Hanabusa and I am eighteen years old."

"Well Hanabusa, you are going to make history as the first perfect human. I promise in the future you'll thank me." Richard said smiling. In his hand was a small light with a magnified glass on it. "When was the last time you have been in an emergency room and for what?" he asked as he shown the light in the younger male's eyes, testing his pupils and seeing that his eyes were for the most part normal and healthy. "And when was the last time you were sick?"

"Wha~ Perfect human? You know there's no such thing. Everyone is born with flaws and such. It's just nature." he says without thinking. He didn't like the idea or sound of any of this. For the most part it frightened him to the core as he looks at the other. Hanabusa closes his eyes upon having the light shined in them. "That hurts my eyes. I don't know all those answers. I haven't been to emergency room and I get sick only in the winter. I want to go home." he says nervously yet seriously

"That's true," Richard said as he tilted the boys head to the side and looked in his ears "But it doesn't have to be like that. If we can create vaccinations that prevent people from getting sick then can't we create vaccination that wont let people ever get sick? Your going to get a whole new immune system so to speak." He said taking not to the other males great health. "Hopefully I will also how to prevent death, isn't that something you want to participate in?" he asked. Though whatever the boys reaction may be, it didn't matter, Richard was willing to hold the boy in his basement against his will.

Hanabusa opened his eyes a bit as he glanced over at the other. "I have no intentions of staying here for another second. You are very odd and speak of things not of this world. Curing illness forever is one thing but death is beyond pushing it. Without it then the world would over populate. Then mass killings to conserve things would happen. You really should think about such before going with crazy ideas in your head." he said as he started to think Richard was a crazy person.

Richard tightly wrapped a rubber band around the male's left arm. "No need to worry about population getting out of hand, their are multiple ways to keep it under control even if people could live forever. Killers for example, if you take away or try to take away another person's right to live, shouldn't your right to live be taken away as well? Other criminals may not be given the opportunity to live forever even if the death sentence is not used on them. I'm sure there are plenty of ladies out their who would love to have a hysterectomy. Events you can't control will continue to happen, accidents, suicide, natural disasters and killing by civilians." Richard then rubbed his thumb over a plump vein.

Hanabusa stared at the other as if he was talking in another language. "You aren't normal. How can you speak of such things so easily. You must know nothing of the hardships in life." he says as he glanced at the rubber band on his arm. He had a feeling what the other was planning to do and it made him tense up. "What are you planning t do now? Does it involve a needle?" he asked

Richard huffed, this guy didn't know enough about him to say he hadn't been through the hardships of life. Little did the young man know that Richard had more than his fair share of hardships and this was precisely the reason he did what he did and said what he said. "I see your familiar with drawing blood. Well If I could gain access to your medical records their would be no need for all these test." He then pulled out an alcohol wipe and cleaned a patch of skin. "You must also know not to tighten your muscles as well then, though the blood moves faster, it would be more painful and that is not my goal, not with the prospect of all the time in the world."

Hanabusa relaxed a bit as he looked at the other. "I don't go to hospitals so there's nothing for you to find." he mutters as he looks down at his feet. He felt as if things were only going to get more weird if he acted the way he was. He wanted to find a way out and get back home. Hanabusa decided for the time being he'd stay silent and cooperate. Once I find an opening I am running for it... he thinks

Richard then pricked the male's arm with the short needle and placed a vial on the end, watching it slowly fill up. "Well I suppose that's good that you don't have to go to hospitals. I myself am a doctor though I would not want to be one as a patient." He said in a way that sounded as if he was having a normal conversation with someone, strange given the situation. He switched the vials and placed the full ones next to him on the counter.

Hanabusa had his eyes closed as he didn't want to look at the needle or the blood being drawn. "Uh... Can you finish quickly. I don't like these kind of things.." he says as he trembles a bit. His issues was with blood more than the needle itself. He would often get queezie or faint if he saw any amount of blood. He was like that with paid as well.

Richard pulled out the needle and detached the vial from it. "That's the last one for now." he said as he tossed the needle away and organized the vials of blood. "Well, your going to need to keep your strength up, do you feel like your able to eat something? I'll untie you from the table if you promise not to try and run. Although I am quite prepared for if you do." Richard had a dog outside, though, it was mainly used for sniffing things out, it is not dangerous in the least but rather friendly with everyone. If need be he had a shock collar that would send a volt through the victim if they left the house, Richard would just need to figure out how to make it so the male could not remove it himself.

"You think little me would try to run away. Oh I would never. This place after all is like a wonderland." he says being highly scarcastic. He didn't think to trust this guy so easily. Hanabusa looks at Richard with a serious gaze. "I will not willingly give into your twisted idea of a perfect human. It's just not right. I'll get out of here and tell athorities of you. Then let's see how you like losing your freedom and bring locked up." he says seriously.

"I guess that letting you off this table now doesn't seem like a good idea." Richard snickered "Doesn't matter to me, I lost everything I hold dear. What I don't get is how you don't want to help me help others." He cleaned up his instruments as he spoke. "Before my colleagues messed up the formula and the government stopped funding, I was so close to perfecting it. But then I guess that doesn't matter to you." He sighed and shrugged. "Oh well, in the end everything will work out." Richard began walking up the stairs. "Anything your particularly hungry for?" he asked on his way up.

Hanabusa lets out a soft sigh. "How can you be so sure your work will help others? What if no one even cares to use such a thing after you do all of this." he says looking at the other. He knew there was some things in this world that many people would reject.' he says softly Hanabusa noticed the other going up the stairs. "I am not hungry for anything." he says softly as his stomach then growls.

Richard did not hear the younger males stomach growl but knowing that he had been out for a few hours, with the added fact that his blood was just draw, his body would need the nutrients. "Very well" he said from the top of the stairs. "Maybe by the time I'm done cooking something up you will be, if not I do have an IV ready to go." As he closed the door to the top of the basement he contemplated what the younger male had said to him. The end of death, how could anyone not want such a thing? Maybe not for themselves but for their loved ones?

Hanabusa relaxed on the table with a blank stare. He was feeling very confused about what this guy really wanted. 'I guess I'll be a test subject from today onwards. I have terrible luck.'he thinks as his eyes began to close. He wasn't tired but he didn't know what else to do at the moment. Hanabusa yawns softly before falling into a light sleep. His stomach still growling as he slept

Richard warmed up some Campbell Chicken Noodle Soup on the stove top, it being the only thing he knew how to cook other than mac and cheese and microwaved dinnered. Back when he was working with the rest of his team all they every did was dial phone numbers to the nearest pizza places or Chinese restaurants if they delivered, that way they would never have to leave work and waist time. Richard took a bowl of soup and walked back down into the basement to feed his new test subject.

Hanabusa was still in a light slumber when thw other retuned. He opens his eyes slightly as he heard foot steps approaching and a presense over him. "So you really returned with food. I thought you were lying about feeding me." he says half asleep. He wonders what the other actually made. His mind was picturing something gross and bubbling. To his surprise it was regular chicken soup.

Richard raised an eyebrow "What do you think I am?" he asked and untied the younger male enough so he could sit up and use his hands. He then sat the bowl of soup on the tray next to him, removing all of his medical equipment. "If your adverse to eating I have an IV that is just as rich in nutrients, but I would rather not use them." He added, pushing the tray closer to the male and taking a seat next the desk beside him and began running tests on the blood.

"I'll eat since you went through the trouble of making it. No point in wasting a cooked meal." he mutters as he begins to eat the soup. Hanabusa wonders how long this man planned to keep him. The idea of nevr being let go bothered him but not as much as he thought. His thoughts began to wander about. "Why would the government stop a program that helps humanity? You said you did this before but it was ruined. So why keep at it?" he asks softly

If there were more volunteers who weren't afraid, the government may have reconsidered, god knows half of them was more than pleased with the idea of living forever. I was close to perfecting the formula but of course that doesn't matter to people." Richard said matter of factually as he put the vials in the mixer.
