The Wizards Assistant closed

"Sure. Ill try to make something good."

"an old student used to say "Can or Cannot, there is no try..."" i smiled, poking her head as i lead her to the kitchen so we could begin cooking lessons, having run out of things to do upstairs

"Theres a 50/50 chance that whatever I cook will turn out lethal..."

"we could always send it to the men in town if you want..." i grinned, teasing her

"...No, thats too cruel..."

"then deal with me tasting it..." i smiled, poking her cheeks "or you could eat it yourself if it worries you to much"

"...I dont want to deal with a guilty conscious of having made you ill. I'll taste it."

"dont be so serious, its a lesson for a reason... i once blew up the kitchen with bread because i used to much yeast... it was horrible"

"T-that can happen!?"

"only if you put an entire bag of yeast in the mix by accident, the bag fell from the shelf...." i smiled, laughing a bit

"Oh...I see..." I laughed, albeit nervously. For all I knew that could happen as well...

"dont worry, the process itself cant kill you, only the end result, and even then, that is VERY rare, at most youd get sick..." i laughed, watching her reaction

"you enjoy scaring me, dont you..." I pouted.

"do you really think id let you die? i havent had an apprentice die unless they did something stupid, like attempt to raise the dead...." i said with a laugh

"....Dont have to worry about me doing that..." I laughed, "After all, I did promise to not do anything crazy like that."

"good, just keep that in mind... so, want to try fish?" i asked curiously

"Uh...sure. Fish sounds like something easy..."

"would you like to steam cook it, or over a fire?" i asked, looking at her with my head tilted ot the side, trying to think of what we would need

"Uuuumm...Which is easier?"

"fire is faster, and you can tell the results by looking, steam is a good way to make it juicy though... for flavor, i would recommend the fire with hickory wood..." i said with a smile, pointing to a closed door that led to a well ventalated room for a firepit

"Oh...okay..." I answered, walking to the room.

"why you so quiet and akward all of a sudden?" i asked curiously, noting the change in her speech pattern

"Im afraid if I talk too much I might forget something..."

"well, ill talk and you can listen and follow instructions, okay?" i smiled, patting her shoulder, noteing that my mood had greatly improved with her pressence here

"Fine by me," I smiled.
