Polar opposite

"Yeah we can head home now. I'll take drop you off..." I said and got up.

I opened the door and walked out. "...Im sorry you got beat up..."

"Eh it's not big of a deal. I always get into fights anyways. I feel like a magnet when it comes down to fighting..." I told her and shrug my shoulders.

"...You can get hurt worse though..." I said, not looking directly at him.

I smile when I turn to look at her, "It's fine. You already knew that I get myself into trouble. You knew that from the start already, remember?" I said to her and reach over to hold onto her hands. "Lets take you home.."

I slightly tightened my grip on his hand. "Yeah, youre right...." I sighed.

I felt her hand tightening against my own. I realized that we weren't much of a difference at all. "Time sure goes by fast, dont you think so?" I ask glancing over to her with a smile on. "The school year is almost at its end, wouldn't you say so?"

"Yeah....time does roll by fast...soon we'll end up finding the right person and probably raise a family. And then we'll be old...and in between those spans, random fun stuff..." I said, smiling to myself.

"Yeah. Or would you like to go somewhere else?" I question.

"I assume that's a no..." I kept on walking that is until we finally made it to her place.

"Well...See you next time..." I hugged him for a few seconds, then tried opening the door, which to my surprise, was locked. "...I hope they haven't moved the emergency key..."

I was surprised by her hug. Usually, we just say our goodbyes and leave, unfortunately, I guess it was just a way of saying thank you. While waiting, I watched her walked over to her door and waited to see if the door would be open for her. Noticing that they had not open the door, I walk up behind her. "No one's home?" I ask.

"I guess not. And I cant find the key...Oh well. I guess we wait until my brothers come back..."

"I see. Then do you wish to come over and stay for a bit at my place?" I ask.

"At your place? Are you sure?"

"I'm sure..." I said and took her by the hands. 'Let's get going. I don't want you to wait out here in the dark you know...They probably might take forever to come back if you ask me.."

"...Well...okay. I'll just leave them a note then," I said, taking out a pencil and a sticky note.

I decided to wait for her. When she was done, I took her by the hands again and led her to my place.

"Nice house."

"Not really..." I said when I unlock my house door and walked in. "Make yourself at home...My father isnt home so you could do what you like..." I said to her.

"I'll just...sit on the couch here." After doing that, I looked around. "...Does your dad work late?"

"Okay. I'll be right back..." I call on her and walked into the kitchen to grab some drinks before heading back in to answer her question. "My father isn't working. At the moment, he left for the bar and probably won't be back until late evening..." I told her and sigh softly while giving her a drink.

"Oh...I see." I took a sip of the drink. "Has it always been like this?" I realized what I had asked sounded really invasive. "Um, you dont have to answer that-!"
