The Demons Contract

When Chrono, the demon with the power to stop time, the slayer of millions of his own kind, is defeated by a mage, and bound to her family as a servant, he is very furious, vowing to escape and kill them as soon as he can... the problem is, only the heir to the family powers can release him from his spell. 1200 years go by, and he passes from one heir to the next as their servant and gaurdian. his previous heir, a mother, had just died, and gave birth to a little baby girl, the new heir to the throne. years later, she is finally ready to take over the family buisness, and is soon to be targeted by demons from all over. will this girl, whose age influences that of Chrono's Age appearance, be able to handle the stress? Will chrono be able to seduce her, or will she seduce him and calm his rage for the trials to come? and how will she react to the fact that he himself, is a demon?

".... time to get up Sky..." i said simply, knocking on the door to wake her up, knowing full well she would repremand me if i walked into the room with her in her nightgown, and sighed tiredly "although id rather you didnt force me into submission... id rather die, but that stupid spell keeps me alive... i cant even feed properly... god be damned, i miss hunting my food, not drinking it out of those damn bags, or absorbing energy..." i sighed, looking out the window to see it was daylight and grumbled "and then there is the sunlight... i hate sunlight... i hate humans too... all i did was attack my own kind when they violated the rules of conduct with humans, but noooo, they had to call the mage on me and enslave me to these damn heirs... not to mention most of them are girls, and thats just not fair.... i mean, im like any guy, i need a hobby other than work, but im not even allowed that... and i need one to distract me from the female heirs... least the other male heirs understood that much and let me read, but with the damn girls, they always want to learn about my kind, always have questions, always want to flash me about like a toy when family members come over... i... i miss home... i miss the forest... i miss the quiet, not having annoying alarms wake me up to get my master ready for the day of homeschooling in the art of magic..."

Skylar stirr from her sleep hearing Chrono calling her to wake up. Half sleep, she tries getting out of bed, only to get tangled in the bed sheets and fall face first. "Ouch ouch," she mumbles, rubbing her face in pain, "I think I'm awake now." She slowly and painful got to her feet. Opening her wardrobe, she change into a simple red t-shirt and black jeans. To finish the last adjustment, she comb down her messy bed head and wash her face in the bathroom. Laced up her shoes, she slams open her bedroom door. "Good morning Chrono!" Skylar happily said, "What's for breakfast this morning." She looks out the window that he stands next to. "Ah! Today is such a lovely day! We should go out. But where... The movies are nice, the mall is okay too, oh but the beach is also a great options too!" She rambles off.

".... i made you favorite for today to start off the week with a positive spin for you... as for the activities, why not try all of them? after we finish your lessons today, you are free to do as you like..." i said after a moment, keeping my face calm and collected as i sighed "your food is waiting for you downstairs in the dining room... are you going to insist apon your mothers way of forcing me to eat in the same room?" i asked after a moment, having gentally closed the door that i had caught to prevent denting the wall and waited for a responce, praying she wouldnt see it fit for me to go outside with her, glancing at my meager room down the hall with a sense of longing for its cold darkness as i ran a hand through my now colored hair "because honestly, i dont like having my natural hair color being forced brown and having people to adjust to it..."

"Woohoo! Bacon and pancakes for breakfast!" Skylar happily said as she fist pump the air then gave Chrono a quick hug. Pulling away, She looks to him quizzically. "Of course you'll eat in the same room as me. I don't like being by myself," she said. She started to head to the stairs. "Anyways, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but you'll have to come with me since mother also told me to bring you along where ever I go. Something about danger around every corner but she never say what though," she said in a serious tone as she walks down the stairs. "Anyways! What are the lesson for today? Hopefully I could make quick work of it so we can go out soon," she said cheerfully once again.

".... today we learn about conjouring Fire, and the day after that, manipulation of said element... if you wish, we can practice while we eat, despite what your mother says, practicing while eating is the most effective way, as it will replenish your energy more... the end result would look something like this, but keep in mind, im a demon, and that influences the strength of my magical abilities... mine greatly outstrip yours right now... so dont get discouraged if you cant do it as well as this, but im sure you will do fine..." i said, creating a ball of flame in the palm of my hand "come, hold the flame in your hand... as your gaurdian, im unable to harm you, so in order for you to analyze its magical properties, you shall look at it while its frozen in time, as per usual with your lessons involving dangerous elements..." i said, blinking as the flames froze, holding my hand out to her as i waited at the top of the stairs for her to begin walking down

"Sounds fun," Skylar said happily. She held out her hand and took the frozen flame. "Ooooo, no matter how many times I see your powers in action I can help but be impressed," she said as studies the flames. She takes the first step down the stairs. "What would happen if I trip and this went flying out of my hands?" She asked. "B-but of course I wouldn't do it on purpose," she quickly follow up. Luckily there was no accident and Skylar made it safely down the stairs and to the dinning room. Handing back the flame and feeling pumped up, she said, "I am so ready for this lesson!"

"it wouldnt do anything, its frozen in time... and if you tripped, i would catch you, simple as that... im glad someone appreciates my special abilities... and im glad you always look forward to our lessons, your mother never liked doing them..." i said after a moment of following her and took the flame, making it dissappear and lead her to her spot and pulled the chair out for her "do you need anything while im up?"

"Huh, really? Mom was really strong wasn't she? Sort of hard to imagine," Skylar said. "Orange juice would be nice," she said as a last minute thought before taking a seat. "Hey, can you tell me more about when my mom was young?" She asked. She took a large bite from her pancakes. "Oh yeah! What's the first step to controlling fire," she asked in between bites.

"...." i got her her orange juice and sat down in a chair nearby and looked at her "you must ask your mothers permission for me to tell you those stories, some of them are grusome.... as for first step, we will start with a happy memory, one that makes you warm on the inside, and then its kind of like your attempting to fuse it with your magic... a first love, kiss, your birthday, anything that illicits a positive reaction, then you build up the energy that you fused to the memory, and release it in your palm, or wherever you are focusing on... focus on your palm specifically"

"Aw.... Darn. I really wanted to heard about her past. The good and the bad," Skylar mock whining. She takes a sip but almost did a spit take when he mention "love" and "kisses". "Ouch, don't mention love or first kiss. I'm 16. People would make fun of me if they hear of a girl of the age of 16 that have never kissed or love anyone," she half joke, half embarrased. She finish up her last bite of pancake before she tries to practices the power. "Okay.... Good memories... Good memories..." She mumbles, and close her eyes. Despite the ways Skylar act, deep down she is a secret pessimistic. She starts to think of her first puppy, her mother, and her last birthday. She hand started to feel warm. She thought she felt a little flame but then the thought of the day when her dog died and her mother getting angry. "Darn," she mumbles and shakes her hand.

" im sorry, do keep in mind despite being a demon that doesnt age, i still have problems detecting what will and wont hurt when i say things.... a girl such as yourself should not worry about being teased... your quite pretty when compared to others, intellegent, and most would kill to be in your position for many reasons, and despite what you say, your mother had a crush when she was 15, and kissed a boy at 14... you just have to find that boy... dont worry about it, everything happens for a reason..." i said, noticing her trouble and sighed "i sence your having negitive thoughts... attempt to find a memory that made you angry, and use that with the same instructions, if anything happens, ill fix it..."

"UGH! THAT JUST MAKES IT WORST!" Skylar fake whine. "Can't believe my mom was so out there," she laughs, "It's so hard to imagine. And other girls would kill for my spot? Don't know many other girls, but it's a nice thought. Thanks." She took a bite from her bacon and put her legs on the table. "Don't worry about it Chrono, I'm just making myself the butt of the joke. Someone got to make things look brighter. You always look so serious and... Unstatisfied? No.... Angry? Bah, what do I know? I'm just a foolish young girl," she smiles. But she took of her legs when Chrono mentions angry memories. "Angry memories? Hmm, no angry memories come to mind. I can think of scary, sad, and funny memories. Guess I just lock 'em up good up here," she said as she taps her forehead.

"she wanted to attempt public schools.... you should not be so quick to bash on yourself... its destructive behavior... and i have my reasons for being serious and unsatisfied... this is a full time job watching after you...." i said quietly and sighed "irritation, anything that causes you to feel warm inside, either good or bad..." i sighed after a moment

"She went to public school?!" Skylar said, "I want to go to public school to!" She finish up her breakfast and push her plate forward to Chromo. "Sorry I'm such a pain," she said, "And does it have to be memories? Can't I use happy thoughts?"

"that works as well... and again, you will have to ask your mother for permission in order to go to public school, but that would make protecting you twice as hard...."

"Aw man, my mom would never say yes to that," Skylar pouted, "And look at what a hypocritic I am. I just told you I'm sorry for being a pain and here I am making your job hard again." She rubs the back of her head bashfully. "Hehe, so happy thoughts here I go. Take two!" Skylar held out her hand and close her eyes. She started to think of rainy days, puppies and kittens, and going to the beach. She thought that her hands felt warm but she isn't sure. "Uh... Is it working?" She asks with her eyes closed still.

"very well in fact, yours looks similar to mine, but with your familys customary color when casting magic... and if it means that much to you, i can ask your mother in a way she cant refuse... but you have to relize, you wont be able to do as you wish anymore, you will have to do homework, AND magic studies, while not revieling that you belong to the high end family you belong to..."

"Ack!" Skylar lost concentration. "Homework?! EW! No way. Never mind. I'm more then happy with my magic lessons. Homework means less time to goof off," she said as she opens her eyes. "Plus normal kids scare me if I really think about it," she mumbles, looking away, thinking about all the stories her mother use to tell her about other people. "Anyways! That's so cool that it looks similar to yours! But what is my family's coustomary color? Don't think I have seen it," she said.

"thats a green color refered to as Sage..." i said simply, pointing to it and yawned, drinking some of my blood from its cup and began eating the food i had set out as well "just as well, most humans are idiots and cruel... your mother had many problems with them, and i would come home with broken bones and bruises because of the issues she caused at the school with boys fighting over her like dogs over a scrap of meat"

"What? Boys faught over my mom?!" Skylar asked in shock. "How lucky...." She mumbles to the side. "But poor you that you got broke bones for something silly," she said. She pause as she watches Chrono drink some blood. "Hey, why do you need to drink blood? How does it taste like?" She questioned.

"you know im a demon, correct? seeing as im cut off from my usual food source, this is my substitute so i dont die... and its like drinking wine to me, but to you it would taste like sucking on a ball of pure iron... if i dont drink, i have no energy, no energy, means no magic, no magic, means i cant teach or protect you... and dont worry, men do pay heed when you walk by, but my presance keeps them at bay..." i said simply, noting her additude and looked directly at her "for example, when we go to the beach, men will stare, just take a few moments to watch your surroundings like i do..."
